Letterman Army Institute of Research Annual Progress Report, FY 1973

Abstract

These studies are devoted to basic and applied research in skin diseases of military importance; the effects of hemorrhagic shock on the heart and brain; the development of techniques for the early management of complex maxillofacial wounds and injuries and the identification of diseases of the oral and maxillofacial tissues which are of special importance to the field soldier. Summaries of those clinical investigations at Letterman Army Medical Center involving collaborative studies or requiring major personnel, laboratory studies or animal resources support from LAIR are included.
