Recent Developments in Acoustic Emission as Applied to Welding Defects,

Abstract

Recent developments in acoustic emission testing as related to welded structures are presented, focusing the attention to signal characterization, fracture induced acoustic emission, and large scale testing to locate flaws. Successful applications as well as the areas in need of further research are identified. (Author)
