Natural Vibrations of Two Cylindrical Panels Connected with an Elastic Filler,

Abstract

Two thin-walled cylindrical panels connected with an elastic filler of arbitrary thickness are examined. Along the generatrices each of them is loaded with normal stresses. The natural vibrations of such a system are studied; symmetric and skew-symmetric strains and their interaction during vibrations are taken into account. The frequencies of natural vibration are determined with different densities and rigidities for the filler. The boundary conditions for the panels and the compressive stresses are varied.
