New Methods of Synthesis of Materials. (I). The Properties of Rare Earth Metals and Alloys. (II)

Abstract

The report describes: Preparation of Nickel foil by high rate physical vapor deposition techniques and evaluation of its properties; Experiments on high rate deposition of Y2O3, TiC, Si3N4 by direct evaporation and of Y2O3 and Si3N4 by reactive evaporation and activated reactive evaporation; and The oxidation behavior of Ni3Al and Ni3Al-0.5Y at 1200C.
