Portable Beacon,

Abstract

The portable beacon system is part of an acoustic precision navigation system used by submarines during data recording operations. The portable beacon system consists of two beacons and batteries and a control unit. The control unit includes battery chargers and provides an interface connection to synchronize and test the beacons while out of the water. The report is intended as an operating and instruction manual for the system. (Author)
