Theoretical Analysis of Cycloidal Propellers. Part II. Program Manual.
Abstract
A computer program has been developed to predict the behavior and performance of a cycloidal propeller assuming two-dimensional flow. Potential flow methods are used and the wake vorticity shed from each blade is approximated by a number of discrete vortices. The interference of the wake on the blades, the blades on the wake, and mutual interference between the blades are considered. The report is a user's manual for the computer program. This program manual contains a description of the use of the program, instructions for preparation of input, a description of the output, a program listing, and sample cases. The theory and comparisons with three-dimensional data are described in Part I of this report. (Author)
