Survey of Digital Data Techniques for CDEC.
Abstract
The report is concerned with the communication system necessary to implement an all-automatic system. The all-automatic system is a system in which data is entered by a field umpire and/or by field transducers, transmitted over a radio link, and processed. Logical choices are made from the data and appropriate field umpires are notified of any new status as a result of the data. The system would also record data for future analysis and keep an up-dated display of the field conditions. The digital data portion of the all-automatic system is a sub-system which provides the two-way link between the field umpire (and/or field transducers) and the data processing equipment at the control center.
