On Subset Selection Procedures of Poisson Populations and Some Applications to Multinomial Distribution.

Abstract

In the report the authors consider the problem of selecting a subset of k Poisson populations including the best which is associated with the largest value of the parameters. Goel has shown that the usual type of selection rules do not exist for some values of the probability p of correct selection. The present authors propose some subset selection procedures which exist for all P.
