Life Testing and Reliability with Applications to Engineering Systems.

Abstract

The research concentrated on the development of statistical models and methods for life testing and reliability studies. A majority of the manuscripts are concerned with the development of statistical procedures which perform well for a wide class of distributions and require only a minimum of assumptions. Both complete and censored sample procedures were treated with emphasis on the latter because of their importance in life testing. A second major area covered in the investigation dealt with models and procedures for multicomponent systems when the components do not fail independently. (Author)
