Synthesis of Hard-Chain Aromatic Polyamides in the Dimethyl Acetamide-Lithium Chloride System,
Abstract
The translation discusses the effect of lithium chloride concentration and monomeric concentration on the molecular weight of poly-n-phenylene-terephthalamide synthesized in the dimethyl acetamidelithium chloride system. It was shown that the sharp increase in the viscosity of the polymer in a domain of determined concentrations of lithium chloride was caused by the increase in the dissolving power of the solvent.
