The Kommunephospitalet Burns Unit in Copenhagen,

Abstract

The Copenhagen Burns Unit is a well run division in the Department of Surgery which has been managing most of Denmark's hospitalized cases for the past ten years. It is committed to the exposure concept and feel that hospitals in the US are on the wrong track because they wait too long to remove crusts and because they rely too much on antibiotics. The viewpoint is shared by some burn experts in Britain as well. (Modified author abstract)
