Abstract
The technical document presents guidelines and recommendations for the use of large-scale integrated (LSI) circuits in new designs. The material presented is based on a detailed survey of the state of the art of microelectronic devices and the experiences of government and commercial users of these devices. The guide presents information on the following topics relating to LSI: Design applications, process technologies, electrical characteristics, packaging considerations, availability of LSI circuits, design compatibility, reliability, and handling precautions.
