Color Standardization for Laminated Plastic Prosthetic Components.

Abstract

With increasing frequency, amputee patients object to color mismatches between the prosthetic limbs we provide and the color of their own skin. In this study eight available skin color pigments are used to develop graduated color shades in the form of laminated plastic paddles. The paddles allow relatively exact color matching between the patient's skin and the prosthesis. The patient is asked to join in the color matching process. (Author, modified-PL)
