Algorithms for Generating a Skew-T, log p Diagram and Computing Selected Meteorological Quantities

Abstract

The paper discusses numerical methods of computing meteorological quantities which are usually manually derived from analysis on a SKEW-T log p DIAGRAM. The numerical methods used were selected for their simplicity and accuracy. A mathematical characterization of the SKEW-T and algorithms for computing several meteorological quantities are presented.
