A Noise Exposure Forecast Evaluation of the Monterey Peninsula Airport.
Abstract
A computer program was used to obtain contours of noise exposure for the Monterey Peninsula airport. Two scenarios are presented for the present volume of operations and the resulting NEF contours are shown. The same two plots, with a doubled volume of operations, are depicted for a relative comparison. These noise exposure forecasts can be used for noise evaluation and compatible land-use planning in the vicinity of an airport. (Modified author abstract)
