The crystal units were manufactured to specifications for Type CR-64/U at 2.90000, 4.60000, 7.40000, 12.0000 and 20.0000 MHz. A complete data analysis indicated that the mounting of the crystal is the critical point in the fabrication of the units. Appropriate additions to the spring-blank bonding process is described. Furthermore, it was found that pre-aging the crystals was necessary to achieve the required stability. (Modified author abstract)
