Oxygen Consumption in Four Species of Invertebrates and a Vertebrate Naturally Exposed to Sanguine Fields.

Abstract

The oxygen consumption of five species of animals collected under the Sanguine antenna during summer, 1972, was tested. The species were wood louse, Oniscus asellus, the earthworms, Lumbricus terrestris and L. rubellus, slug, Arion sp, and red-backed salamander, Plethodon cinereus cinereus. Controls were collected on the same day, 6 to 13 miles from the nearest Sanguine antenna, and both groups were tested simultaneously. No significant differences were found in any group except wood-lice (p = .05). (Author)
