Biology and Ecology of Plankton and Ice Organisms in Coastal Waters Near Barrow, Alaska.

Abstract

The report describes work done from 1 May 1972-30 April 1973 and is part of a continuing study of the biology of the Barrow, Alaska area. This section of the study has been primarily concerned with the benthic microalgae and the zooplankton. Data are presented on the seasonal distribution of the phytoplankton and ice organisms and the environmental parameters that affect these organisms. (Modified author abstract)
