Vehicle Average Useful Life Study for Truck, Cargo: 2 1/2 Ton, 6x6, M35A2.

Abstract

An assessment of the useful life of Truck, Cargo: 2 1/2 Ton, 6x6, M35A2 was made. Factors which were included in the study were cost of vehicle operation as a function of accumulated mileage and performance of the vehicle (reliability, availability and maintainability characteristics) as a function of accumulated mileage. It is shown that by an analysis of the cost and performance characteristics, the life of the vehicle can be extended resulting in substantial cost savings, and a greater insight in the decision process can be effected.
