A Dynamic Photoelastic Investigation of Explosive Induced Fracture

Abstract

The report describes the results of four different photoelastic studies on fundamental problems associated with rock removal by blasting with explosives. Also included are model studies using charcoal granite specimens with either holographic or high speed framing cameras to record the dynamic behavior.
