Pressure Radiated by Turbulence-Excited Finite and Infinite Water-Loaded Plates.

Abstract

The pressure radiated from turbulence-excited finite and infinite plates under heavy fluid loading is examined theoretically. The effects of fluid loading, which include cross modal coupling effects for the finite plate, are deduced from the mathematical models. Computed pressure statistics for finite and infinite plates with and without fluid loading are compared to quantitatively estimate the effect of fluid loading. (Modified author abstract)
