Thermal Effects, Microstructure and Stability in Continuum Mechanics.

Abstract

The report briefly reviews work on the thermo-mechanical behavior of materials exhibiting nonhomogeneities (e.g. laminates, fiber-reinforced materials, inclusions, dislocations) with particular emphasis on the formulation of continuum theories that account for the nonhomogeneities.
