Study of Complex Formation in the ZnCl2-NH3 System (Issledovanie Kompleksoobrazovaniya v Sisteme ZnCl2-NH3),

Abstract

The melt-vapor equilibrium in the system ZnCl2-NH3 was studied at 350-500C. Two stages were established in the process of complex formation in the liquid phase. The values of instability contents of the complexes ZnCl2:1.5NH3 and ZnCl2:NH3 were calculated as functions of temperature. The state of equilibrium in the ZnCl2-NH3 system was analyzed as a function of composition in temperature. It was also established that the complex ZnCl2:NH3 begins to dissociate at 319.5C. The complex ZnCl2:1.5NH3 is fully decomposed at 477.4C.
