Survey of the Use of Educational Technology in the Armed Services. Volume I

Abstract

The impact of instructional technology (I.T.) on the technical training of military personnel is addressed. The research was directed toward measuring benefits that the Department of Defense might gain through increased utilization of I.T. and postulating new research objectives and programs that would make possible the realization of these benefits. The results indicate that the DoD can anticipate substantially reduce training costs by future utilization of innovations in I.T. The most significant variables contributing to cost savings are instructional strategies and methods.
