The Hamman-Rich Syndrome,

Abstract

The Hamman-Rich syndrome is described in a woman 51 years of age, ill for 2 1/2 months. Particular features of the report are the acute course and rapidly growing diffuse fibrosis of the lungs with dyspnea and cyanosis. The development of the disease was preceded by allergenic skin eruptions, which makes it possible to speak of an allergenic nature of the pulmonary changes. (Author)
