Ground Defoliation in the Kolkhozes of Central Chirchik,
Abstract
In 1971, in the training and experimental farm of Tashkent Institute for Engineers for Irrigation and the Mechanization of Agriculture which is located on the territory of the rayon district, the OVKh-14 was employed for the ground defoliation of the cotton plant. And although a comparatively small area was treated (1170) hectares), the new sprayer with a dusting device demonstrated high effectiveness and great advantages both in comparison with the old sprayer and in comparison with aviation defoliation. In worldwide cotton raising these machines are considered the best for treating fields against agricultural pests.
