Tropical Vegetation Measurements

Abstract

The report describes a technique for predicting the number of trees in large areas of tropical forests from small samples. It also describes a method for estimating tree height from tree diameter. The techniques described have applications in evaluating the effects of vehicular mobility, weapons and/ or munitions, electromagnetic propagation, surveillance systems, and air- delivered items in tropical forests.
