Time, Radio links, Avionics, Interfaces, Tactical aircraftSEEK BUS Program, Time division multiple accessThe document presents an initial assessment of the functional requirements for implementing SEEK BUS avionics interfaces in existing tactical aircraft. All practical enhancements of operational capabilities which could be achieved through SEEK BUS implementation are described. Generalized avionics functions are defined in terms of their information throughput properties. Requirements are then defined for the appropriate functions to provide each of the indicated capability enhancements. These requirements are generally applicable to any aircraft, and can be used as the foundation for developing detailed hardware and software specifications for particular interface configurations.
