In the analytical investigation a previously developed computer program was used to compute the transonic flow field for diverse two-dimensional and annular nozzle configurations. The analytical investigation included establishing the limits on nozzle geometries for which the method is applicable. Comparisons were made with experimental data, including a limited amount of previous experimental data, and with other analytical solutions. (Modified author abstract)
