Effect on the M16Al Rifle of Firing .22 Caliber Ammunition

Abstract

A 25,000 round test program was conducted to determine the effects on the M16Al Rifle of firing up to 10,000 rounds of .22 caliber rimfire ammunition through it. No significant, permanent degradation of the rifle was found.
