Photodiode Model of the Cadmium Sulfide-Liquid Crystal Electrooptic Transducer.

Abstract

Work being done to perfect a cadmium sulfide-liquid crystal real-time electrooptic transducer led to the need for a model based on photodiode semiconductor physics. The paper presents such a model and attempts, by fitting to experimental curves, to determine the essential physical parameters of the cadmium sulfide-liquid crystal junction. This model has general applicability and will enable improvement of the transducer through variation of its parameters. (Author)
