Filter Experiments and Design Criteria.

Abstract

Laboratory tests were performed to determine the effectiveness of standard concrete sands and gravels as filter materials for a varied range of base materials. In addition, various mixtures of sand and gravel were investigated for inherent stability and permeability characteristics with regard to their use as filter materials.
