Wave Statistics for Lakes Michigan, Huron, and Superior.

Abstract

The understanding of shore erosion, the design of maritime structures and the design of Great Lakes ships require a knowledge of the statistics of wave heights and wave periods on the Great Lakes. To meet these needs a wave hindcast study for Lakes Michigan, Huron and Superior was conducted for the years 1965, 1966, and 1967. The results of this study are reported in the report.
