A New Method for Field Analysis of Plastic Concrete-Feasibility Study.

Abstract

The object of this project was to investigate the feasibility of various nuclear analytical techniques for determination of hydrogen, carbon, silicon, calcium and in some cases aluminum in samples of plastic concrete during a total analysis time of 10 minutes. The analysis should be accomplished by using equipment capable of being truck mounted for field operation. The investigation has shown that no single technique is suitable for determining all of the elements of interest, but that it is possible to build a versatile instrument which combines several techniques and meets the analysis criteria.
