Abstract

The report is concerned primarily with gas flow in internal combustion engines. Studies are made of supercharging processes, the effect of manifold conditions, valves and valve controls and combustion chambers. Other subjects include heat flow, transient processes, valve drive dynamics and lubrication and break-in. (Author)
