X-Ray and Neutron Production Optimization in the Dense Plasma Focus.

Abstract

Parameters of the plasma focus experimental assembly at Culham, England, a coaxial gun type first described by Mather, have been evaluated using advanced laser diagnostic techniques. The measurements have resulted in a more nearly complete appreciation of the formation, duration, and breakup of the dense pinch phase of the focus. (Modified author abstract)
