Comparison of Characteristics of Kidde Oxygen Recharge Compressor Assembly and Pressure Products Inc. Diaphragm Compressor.

Abstract

The characteristics of an oxygen recharge compressor assembly (Part number 891026) manufactured by the Walter Kidde Co., Inc. of Belleville, New Jersey, are compared with those of a Model 1040 compressor manufactured by the Pressure Products, Inc., of Harboro, Pa. The comparison was based on the data obtained from the manufacturer's instruction manual for the Kidde compressor and EDU made on the basis of the relative suitability of the two compressors for use by diving activities. The pressure products compressor is found to be more suitable for most diving activities. (Author)
