Instruments and Methods of Researching Friction and Wear (Chapter 7),

Abstract

In accordance with the general classification proposed by Mooney all polymer testing methods can be subdivided into three groups: scientific, service and mixed. In the case of frictional tests, according to Kragel'skiy, laboratory tests are classified as small-sample tests, laboratory tests of full-scale samples, and tests under operational conditions. The paper is dedicated to scientific tests.
