Kinetic Phenomena in a Knudsen Gas with Rotational Degree of Freedom,

Abstract

The authors examine the heat transfer in a strongly rarefied gas in an arbitrarily oriented magnetic field. They discuss the boundary conditions for the distribution function of a gas with spinning molecules, and show that the heat flux in a molecular Knudsen gas can be changed in a magnetic field if the coefficient of diffuse relfection depends on the direction of the angular momentum of the molecular.
