Identification of Visual Landing Techniques.
Abstract
The report presents the results of the USAFIFC/RD project, Identification of Visual Landing Techniques study (CDG-VLP-3). The objective of the study was to identify the piloting techniques and visual cues used during overhead traffic patterns so that resulting display configurations (head-up displays) could be developed which would present augmentative information to the pilot and improved landing safety.
