Two Optimal Sortie Allocation Models. Volume II. Computer Program Documentation,

Abstract

The volume serves as documentation of the OPTSA I and OPTSA II computer programs. The computer programs are operational on the CDC 6400 at IDA. The OPTSA 1 computer program is dimensioned for up to 50 non-adaptive strategies on each side. It requires 122500 (octal) words of core storage. Nine games of up to 90 days duration with 27 non-adaptive strategies on each side require 104 seconds to compile and solve (about 18 seconds for compilation, 86 seconds for execution). The OPTSA 2 computer program is dimensioned for up to 10 actions for each of three moves on each side. It requires 55600 (octal) words of core storage. One game of 90 days duration with 3 actions for each of 3 moves on each side requires 105 seconds to compile and solve (about 20 seconds for compilation, 85 seconds for execution.
