Performance of a Two Phase Flow Mixing Chamber-Nozzle Combination,

Abstract

The performance curves of a mixing chamber-nozzle combination are presented and the effects of supplying heated air to the chamber are discussed with the aid of curves showing the energy level available from isothermal and adiabatic gas expansions. Higher pressure ratios, across the nozzle, than those predicted by a critical flow design formula were achieved due to large phase slip and hence nozzle choking would seem not to be a problem.
