Abstract
The document contains a collection of semi-empirical studies of meteorological fields in the northern hemisphere and also some data on the southern hemisphere. Attention is given to characteristics of the thermal condition, the analysis of boundaries of the snow cover, the analysis of fields of vertical velocities and to other elements used for purposes of long-term weather forecasting, and in numerical experiments on the general circulation of the atmosphere.
