Rapid Charger for Maintenance Free Batteries.

Abstract

A charger was designed for use with multi-cell nickel-cadmium batteries. The report provides a discussion of the development of the charger and a detailed instruction manual describing operation, maintenance and trouble-shooting procedures for the unit. The charger uses a repetitive sequence of amplitude and duration-adjustable pulses for the rapid charging of both sealed and vented 20-cell nickel-cadmium batteries. (Author)
