A Model of Circulation and Dispersion in Pearl Harbor,

Abstract

The report concerns a study of the circulation and dispersion in Pearl Harbor using a single layer Hydrodynamical-Numerical (HN) model. The equations set, the imposed boundary conditions, and the dispersion scheme are briefly described. The method of stream discharge parameterization is discussed. Examples of hourly volume transport and integrated volume transport are presented for three sections in the harbor. Examples of the velocity field at various times are also given.
