Colombia - Military Force in Combating Insurgency

Abstract

The paper analyzes the techniques used by the Armed Forces of Colombia in countering decades of violence which have turned into an insurgent situation. A review of existing literature established the basis for the endemic violence. The measures utilized by the government of Colombia to overcome this situation were reviewed and analyzed based upon data acquired in library research and from personal knowledge of the problem.
