Heat Transfer through Finned Surfaces,

Abstract

The results of an analytical study of heat transfer through a finned surface are given. The limits of applicability of the assumption that the heat transfer coefficient is constant along the height of the fin are determined. Recommendations are given for calculations in the region where this assumption is unacceptable.
