Determination of the Equilibrium Composition of Gas in Reacting Mixtures at High Temperatures,

Abstract

To find the equilibrium compositon of a gas in reacting mixtures with a small number of components, an iterative method is proposed which proves highly convenient for calculations on small computers. Examples of calculations of equilibrium composition and gas-dynamic quantities in pure carbon dioxide gas and in the CO-N2-Ar mixture behind a shock wave are presented.
