A Common DOD Supply System.
Abstract
The study examined whether the duplication of inventory management functions, duplication in storage of support levels, and establishment of multiple storage locations for the same item of supply is essential. An in depth assessment was made of the supply management concepts of the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, and Air Force and the integrated item management within the Defense Supply Agency (DSA), and the General Services Administration (GSA).
