A Cognitive Intervention for Improving the Estimate of Latent Ability Measured from Analogy Items.

Abstract

Whitely and Dawis explicated an aptitude-ability model of testing from a test-intervention-retest sequence. The model uses two scores, initial ability and gain over a test-related intervention, in a weighted combination to reflect true potential (ability). The report contains the text and method for the development of a cognitive intervention for analogy tests, designed to fit the aptitude-ability model. (Author)
